The challenge is to create a functionally undefined space, which serves for everything and for nothing, depending on the moment. Shoot with bow and arrow in the morning or work on a stone sculpture into the night. It´s not a studio or a space to work: what is done over there, rather than work, its a physiological need, such as the sleeping act. To this space, it was necessary to attach a house in its more conventional sense: three bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. At a lower level is placed the garage, taking advantage of the altimetric difference to the street. We deliberately separated the program, forcing it to cohabit with the large space in the center.

A daily tension that has to be managed, the client is afraid that the use of the “house” occupies its space. But the non-conformity of the client is the goal of the program non-conformity itself. The space cannot be taken for granted, it is necessary to continuously earn it.
